慈光店舗にて、面打師、小熊正の能面、狂言面の販売、展示しております。

小熊正氏は、伊藤通彦を通じて能面の世界に出会い面打師として弟子入り。そして能楽師、狂言師向けに面を制作を始める。その後、全国創作能面展、 現代能面美術展、その他で受賞。法政大学能楽研究所でも能面制作、学術 を１１年間指導。他、公演会で能面の魅力を伝えるなど、育成にも力を入れております。

小熊氏のお面は、能や、狂言の世界感を引き出し、技術的にも非常に優れております。迫力があり力強さがあると同時に、繊細で滑らかな表現、緻密な技や、個々の肌感、質感の使い分け、古の時代感の表現など、芸術、美術品としての品格があります。

能面、能楽の歴史は非常に厚みがあります。鎌倉時代からの歴史があり、室町時代には世阿弥が能楽を大成し、同時に優れた面打師を輩出。安土桃山時代には、様式が完成、能面の種類も出揃い曲目、演目、面との対応関係が確立し隆盛しました。江戸時代には幕府の保護もと伝統を受け継ぎ更なる高みを目指しました。また様大名などが面の名品を競って集め、面打師も評価され、盛んに格付けされた時代でもありました。明治時代に入ると、幕府や藩の庇護を失った能楽界が衰微し、世襲面打ち家も絶えました。多くの能面が日本国外に美術品として流出し重宝されたた時代もありました。現代では、能楽師、狂言師、面打師が伝統、技術を引き継ぎ、２００８には、能楽がユネスコ無形文化遺産に登録されるなど息を吹き返し、日本を代表する文化、芸術になっております。

この度、小熊正氏から１００点程のお面を譲って頂き、慈光店舗では、３０数点を展示、販売を行っております。画像では伝わらない空気感、存在感があります。西荻窪にお越しの際は、是非足をお運びください。

Noh masks and Kyogen masks by Tadashi Oguma, a mask maker, are on sale and on display at Jiko’s store.

Tadashi Oguma studied Noh masks under Michihiko Ito. He began making masks for Noh actors and Kyogen actors, and has received awards at the National Exhibition of Creative Noh Masks, the Contemporary Noh Mask Art Exhibition, and other exhibitions. He also taught Noh mask production and academics at the Nohgaku Research Institute of Hosei University for 11 years. He has also been making an effort to train Noh masks and to convey the appeal of Noh masks at performances.

Mr. Oguma’s masks bring out the world of Noh and Kyogen, and are technically excellent. They are very powerful and strong, but at the same time, they are also dignified as art and fine art, with delicate and smooth expressions, precise techniques, individual skin textures, different use of textures, and expression of the ancient atmosphere of the time period.

The history of Noh masks is very rich, dating back to the Kamakura period (1185-1333), and Zeami achieved great success in the Muromachi period (1333-1573). In the Edo period (1603-1867), the tradition was inherited under the protection of the shogunate. Daimyo (feudal lords) and other feudal lords competed with each other to collect masterpieces of masks. In the Meiji period (1868-1912), the Nohgaku world declined and hereditary mask makers ceased to exist, and many Noh masks were exported as works of art outside of Japan, where they were highly valued.Today, Noh actors, kyogen performers, and mask dancers continue the tradition, and in 2008, Nohgaku was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, making it a representative culture and art form of Japan.

Mr. Tadashi Oguma has donated about 100 masks to us, and more than 30 of them are on display and for sale at the Jiko store. Please visit us when you come to Nishiogikubo.

戦後、日本画の世界に大きな足跡を残した東山魁夷。自然と真摯に向き合い、深い情感をたたえ、生涯、風景画を描き続けました。

今回ご紹介の作品は、木版画で『木枯らし舞う』と言うタイトルが付けられた、魁夷85歳1997年頃のものです。

秋の終わりに近い頃、魁夷は静かな森の中で激しい勢いで眼の前を横切る一陣の風を受けました。すると、周囲の林の梢から黄金色の葉が、いっせいに落ちて空中に舞い上がったそうです。魁夷はこの時に感じた秋の終末を告げるフィナーレのように華やかで淋しい一瞬を作品に込めました。

東山魁夷の作品は、東山ブル―と言われるほど、美しい青の山々などが印象的ですが、こちらの作品は、画面全体を深い紫色が占め、身体中を包み込むように落葉している様子は温かみがあり、臨場感あふれています。

Claire Astaix (クレール・アステックス)は、1953年オランダ人の両親（両親共に芸術家）がパリに滞在中生まれました。

1974年より絵を描き初め、1978から1980年パリ芸術学校に通いました。1977年にパリの画廊、クレモン・フェランのダルソン・ギャラリーで初個展を開催しました。

それ以降、毎年2回位フランスの画廊にて個展を開催しました。1981年には、パリの子供のための創作アトリエを開き、子供たちに芸術の楽しさを伝えました。

1986年東京で初の「アステックス展」を開催。「暮らしの手帖」の表紙を制作し、1988年、プランタン銀座を皮切りに、日本全国で来日記念展を開催しました。
その後、急速に人気がでて、フランスを始めヨーロッパ各国・アメリカ各地などで、意欲的に活動しています。

こちらの『ヴォルナ』というタイトルのリトグラフは、柔らかな暖色系の色合いと曲線で、女性の美しさを表現しています。慈光店舗にて販売中ですのでどうぞご覧下さい。

東山魁夷（ひがしやまかいい、1908-1999）は、昭和を代表する日本画家で、清澄で精神性の高い風景画で国民的な人気を博しました。

文化勲章受章者。千葉県市川市名誉市民。

今回ご紹介の品物は、東山魁夷の傑作です。

復刻風景画家として充実期を迎えた東山魁夷が、妻と旅した北欧を絵画と紀行文で描いた貴重なリトグラフィ装画本です。川端康成の序文「美しい地図」も収録。

長く暗い冬の世界から解放された北欧の夏、6,7月の風土と情景を堪能する著者の文章が素晴らしく、自然と人間が共存する北欧の温かく清らかな空気感が感じられます。
